Hey guys.
Sorry it’s been awhile. Been a bit of a crazy year really, both good and bad things. Finally finished for the year now at college, other than my placement, so hopefully I can post on here more!
Lately, especially towards the end of my first college year, there’s been lots of decisions to make and questions to ask or answer. That isn’t an easy thing to do really. Lots of people are asking me to make personal life changing decisions, yet still treat me as a child? That is where I am baffled. As a teenager in this time it’s so confusing to be treated one way and then asked to be the other.
As someone who gets confused easily and finds decisions horrible to make, it’s not been very fun for me. I felt as though sometimes I couldn’t escape from it, but I guess sometimes you can’t. Life is full of decisions and even though sometimes it’s the most boring or horrible thing you have to do, life wouldn’t be the same without them.
Personally I believe that the way we approach these situations helps us develop and stand as a person. Some people love decisions and some people hate them. But it isn’t about what you choose, it’s about your approach and I feel like this really reiterates my point.
As someone who watches a lot of videos and reads a lot of blogs and reads a lot of things on social media that people write, I have started to learn the difference between your approach and your choice. Sometimes positivity is all you need for a little boost and I find more often than not this works for me.
Never be afraid to be confident.
Never be afraid to stand out.
Never be afraid to be different.
And never be afraid to be you.
I personally love this idea, I think one of the best things you can do for yourself is listen to others and learn from your past. Never walk away from a decision without giving a clear answer because it will never leave you behind. I’ve very much learnt this over the past couple of weeks and it has really helped. Someone once told me don’t focus on the past or the future, focus on now because one day you won’t be able to change what you do now, because it would turn into your past and you’d never have the ability to change or control it anymore. Present decisions are so much more important than anything else. Never forget that.
Sorry for the more serious post, however lately it has been a time for lots of decisions and thinking and I wanted to share this with you!
Speak again soon! π
