Thoughts.

Hey guys.

Sorry it’s been awhile. Been a bit of a crazy year really, both good and bad things. Finally finished for the year now at college, other than my placement, so hopefully I can post on here more!

Lately, especially towards the end of my first college year, there’s been lots of decisions to make and questions to ask or answer. That isn’t an easy thing to do really. Lots of people are asking me to make personal life changing decisions, yet still treat me as a child? That is where I am baffled. As a teenager in this time it’s so confusing to be treated one way and then asked to be the other.

As someone who gets confused easily and finds decisions horrible to make, it’s not been very fun for me. I felt as though sometimes I couldn’t escape from it, but I guess sometimes you can’t. Life is full of decisions and even though sometimes it’s the most boring or horrible thing you have to do, life wouldn’t be the same without them.

Personally I believe that the way we approach these situations helps us develop and stand as a person. Some people love decisions and some people hate them. But it isn’t about what you choose, it’s about your approach and I feel like this really reiterates my point.

As someone who watches a lot of videos and reads a lot of blogs and reads a lot of things on social media that people write, I have started to learn the difference between your approach and your choice. Sometimes positivity is all you need for a little boost and I find more often than not this works for me.

Never be afraid to be confident.

Never be afraid to stand out.

Never be afraid to be different.

And never be afraid to be you.

I personally love this idea, I think one of the best things you can do for yourself is listen to others and learn from your past. Never walk away from a decision without giving a clear answer because it will never leave you behind. I’ve very much learnt this over the past couple of weeks and it has really helped. Someone once told me don’t focus on the past or the future, focus on now because one day you won’t be able to change what you do now, because it would turn into your past and you’d never have the ability to change or control it anymore. Present decisions are so much more important than anything else. Never forget that.

Sorry for the more serious post, however lately it has been a time for lots of decisions and thinking and I wanted to share this with you!

Speak again soon! πŸ™‚

New Years Resolutions!

New Years Resolutions!

Hey guys!

IT’S 2016!! WOOOO!!

Now i don’t know about you, but I personally love change and the new year! πŸ™‚ 2015 was a rough year for me but I did pull through and I think I actually achieved my goals (or resolution) that I had set for myself. I always set myself three resolutions because I feel like I am more likely to stick to them.

My resolutions for 2015 were:

  1. Take opportunities
  2. Be more confident
  3. Do things for myself

I feel like i did achieve all of these resolutions or goals last year and I think it helped because when i was having a bad day i’d tell myself that these resolutions would help me make it better again. I Β took more opportunities, such as offering to be class rep and running for a student governor, even if I did’t achieve it, I still did it and that is something I would never have done before and that’s what matters. I feel like the last two resolutions of being more confident and doing things for myself really link together, as it takes a lot of confidence for me to do things for myself and through doing those things, i in turn become more confident. I sang in front a crowd of people with my uncle accompanying me in a pub which was one of the most nerve racking things i have ever done but Β did it and that takes a lot of confidence. I sang at my leavers assembly to leave the school with the pride that i did that, so therefore I am very proud of myself!

I will of course continue trying to do these things but I do feel like I have achieved these and I feel like I do them without even knowing now. Now onto my 2016 resolutions/goals:

  1. upload a blog or a video (to my you tube channel) at least once a week
  2. love myself and be confident in my own skin
  3. help others find the good in themselves

I feel like this year will be a good year as I started it the right way and i’m trying to look at everything in a much more positive light! πŸ™‚ Let’s work together and you can help me achieve these resolutions and I can help you all achieve yours! We can motivate each other! πŸ™‚

Leave a comment below with your resolutions for this year and hopefully together we can achieve them!

Happy New Year!!

Hey guys,

How is everyone doing? I know! I know!! I haven’t posted anything in ages but college has really been getting on top of me, it’s a tough course and unfortunately I’m not the most organised person, which doesn’t really help! Haha!

Today, I wanted to share some of my photos I take with you. Photography is just a hobby of  mine so they’re not the best but I like doing it. πŸ™‚

This photo was taken at a ‘Deer park’ near where my dad lives. They weren’t quite tame but you could get pretty close to them. I loved photographing them as they are magnificent and beautiful animals and I think my camera picked up the detail really well! πŸ™‚

This photo is taken on an evening when I was on holiday, it is Bamburgh beach as the sun was starting to set. Bamburgh was amazing and if you ever get the chance, I recommend going! πŸ™‚

I would love to share more photographs with you, if you’d like to see more let me know and I will start blogging more often (I promise, I promise, I promise!!)

Comment below your favourite hobby(s) and if you’d like to see any more photos or anything else from me!

Favourite places?

Favourite places?

Hello guys,

I’m ill so therefore can’t talk very well πŸ™ So instead of talking out loud I thought I would come talk to all you guys on here! πŸ™‚

Today I want to talk about favourite places! Most people have a favourite place and mine is a theatre πŸ™‚ I love them for many reasons.

I love the sound of music filling the area so proudly and confidently, filling everyone’s ears with beautiful song. I love watching an audience become captivated by what they hear and watchi their eyes light up when the pending music starts! I love watching people sing, cry, laugh along and then I, myself, get captivated until the last note of that last song!

Musicals are definitely my favourite thing, I love how people can become so entranced within in the story, it’s such a magical thing!

I have been to two musicals, Mary Poppins and Blood Brothers, and I could quite happily say that, those moments, were some of the happiest times I’ve had. Musicals create happiness and a sense of magic inside people and I love that.

Have any of you ever been to musicals? Or have you ever been somewhere that made you feel this way? Let me know in the comments what your favourite place (s) is! πŸ™‚

Online world

Online world

Hello everyone!Β

So I go to a Group on Thursday, which is lots of fun and a place to really just chill out and forget about all your worries for a while and they have just added a bit on the end where we can discuss different subjects!

This week we discussed building up and tearing down.

This really got me thinking. The online world is an incredible place. They are petitions and campaigns running which can be signed by people all over the world to make a difference, there are people sharing their thoughts and feelings and having discussions with people who are literally on the other side of theΒ world, Online people from all sorts of backgrounds, races, genders, ability come together and fight for what we stand for and believe in.

However… There is some people who take away from this wonderful experience by sharing hate instead. And my question is why?

Some people do it for attention, some people do it to bring others down to their level and others just do it because they feel lonely and need someone to either be with them or be near them.

Surely there is other ways to find someone to feel less lonely or other ways to get attention tho? If you are horrible, why do you get more attention? It doesn’t even make sense, but people fight for what they want and so if someone says something horrible, they will most likely be horrible back and this just doesn’t seem right.

I’ve read Zoe’s book again lately, Girl Online, which is about a girl who has an anonymous blog online, which is a bit like what I have. However, there is a ‘last’ blog post in the book which says:

‘Every time you post something online you have a choice. You can either make it something that adds to the happiness levels in the world-or you can make it something that takes away from them. … next time you go to post a comment or an update or share a link, ask yourself: is this going to add to the happiness in the world? And if the answer’s no, then please delete.’

Now this really hit home with me, Online is a huge world, which includes everyone, we don’t need more sadness in this world and for that reason, I ask you to follow this one piece of advice…

Think before you post.Β

I shall leave you with that.

Talk again soon!

I’m back!!!

Hey guys,Β Sorry i haven’t been here in ages. I have been busy as it is officially the holidays! (well it’s over now, i go back to college on the 8th).

Throughout the holidays I have had a lot going on and I have been very busy! I had my year 11 prom (I almost cried, multiple times, as i’m leaving my school πŸ™ ), then I went to see my older sister and my newborn nephew, I also went to Fort William with my mum and two of her friends, went to Bletchley park with my Aunty, her partner and my mum, went down to my dad’s (Near Durham) and then to Bamburgh from there, had results day (EEK) and went to a festival! I think that’s everything! Haha!

Fort William its self wasn’t one of the nicest towns I’ve been to but our B&B was really nice and the views were absolutely amazing! ( http://www.seafieldhousefortwilliam.co.uk/ – in case you wondered). My prom was great and a really good way of saying goodbye, although very sad but very funny!

The festival was Solfest and it was on Solway firth near Aspatria and Silloth. It’s a fairly small family festival with lots of good acts, dancing and music! Which is just what i like πŸ™‚ I always embrace the festival and hippyness! It’s great! One of the places where i feel right at home, which is always a really nice feeling.

Is there anywhere you feel really at home? or did you do interesting or new this summer? Let me know in the comments πŸ™‚

I will be back to regularly uploading soon as i’ve just started college!

Mental Health Awareness

Hi guys,

So i’ve finished exams finally and now have 11 weeks of holiday! But ever since i’ve finished school, one thing has been going round and round in my mind, Why has no one noticed how much teenagers hate school? Why has no one noticed that students hate going to school? Why has no one noticed that mental health affects so many people, especially teenagers? okay, so that was more than one thing but you know what I mean.

Society puts us down and majorly affects the minds of people, especially teenagers. Since I am a teenager, I will focus on the affect it has on teenagers. I have never known for certain whether but I am anxious, I overthink and cause myself to panic but i’m not here to talk about me, i’m here to talk about how it can affect others.

Mental Health can affect people in so many ways. Depression, anxiety, panic attacks, self-harm, anorexia, the list could go on. Mental health affects everyone in different ways, it can be mild for some people and serious for others and everyone reacts differently to it, but it is all the same overall. It affects people so much and can really ruin people’s lives and make them not want to be here anymore.

I’m sorry for a very un-lively and sort of unhappy tone to this post but this is one thing that is always on my mind that i wanted to share with you all. As a collective we can stand up and make a difference. Do your part to make mental health more well known, research it, donate to a charity, help someone you know who has a mental health problem, do whatever you can to help.

See you soon,

Welcome :)

Hello guys!

Welcome to my blog! I have always wanted to share my thoughts, feelings and interests to others (as I am a very opinionated person) and so I decided to start a blog for anyone, who is interested, to read πŸ™‚

I will be writing about interesting places I visit, thoughts I have, lifestyle things and maybe even some of my favourite recipes or DIY ideas. I am also getting a Camera for my 16th birthday so if I take any good pictures I may have a proud moment and put them on here! πŸ™‚

Anyway, if you would like to leave a comment or anything, feel free to! I will be posting probably once a week till I finish my exams and then maybe even 2 or 3 times a week (depending on how bored I am).

Till next time. Peace out!
